Firdos Somji, ICD.D, MBA, FICB, currently serves as the Audit Committee Chair for the Canada Border Services Agency since December 2021, while also holding the position of Board Director at Coast Capital Savings since April 2022. In addition to these roles, Firdos is a Limited Partner and member of the LP Advisory Council at Good News Ventures since December 2018 and an Investor, Advisor, and Mentor at York Angel Investors until January 2024, where contributions focus on supporting early-stage entrepreneurs. Prior to these roles, Firdos had a distinguished 42-year career at Scotiabank, culminating as Senior Vice President & Head of the Integration and Change Office for International Banking, overseeing multiple successful mergers and acquisitions across various regions. Firdos holds an MBA from Dalhousie University, an ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management, and a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers designation.
