Shaun Conway has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shaun is the founder and CEO of ixo, a company they established in 2017. Prior to this, they held roles as the founder and president of ixo.foundation and as the founder of Consent in 2014. In 2012, Conway founded 9Needs, a project aimed at creating healthier lifestyles through design-led innovations. Shaun also worked as an associate at the UCT Graduate School of Business, where they co-founded the Inclusive Healthcare Innovation Initiative for southern Africa. From 2007 to 2017, Conway founded Results LAB, where they explored innovation and provided technical advisory services to global agencies in the health sector. Their experience also includes serving as a technical advisor for The Africa Medicines Impact Investment Fund and as co-founder and executive chairman of Re-Action! Shaun worked as a health advisor for DFID from 2006 to 2010 and as a technical advisor for the World Health Organization from 2000 to 2010.
Shaun Conway's education history includes obtaining an MBChB degree in Medicine from the University of Cape Town, and completing a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians. Additionally, they attended the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London from 2004 to 2008.
