Erin Christian has worked in education since 2005, beginning as a Reading Curriculum Coordinator and English Teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. Erin then moved on to Mastery Charter Schools in 2009, where they held the roles of Instructional Coach and English Teacher. In 2010, they joined TNTP as a Selector and Screener. From 2011 to 2013, they worked for Ascend Learning Charter Schools as School Director and Dean of Instruction. Currently, they are a District Success for Goalbook, a position they have held since 2014.

Erin Christian has obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University. Erin also has a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Middle School Social Studies Teaching Credential (Pennsylvania), School Building Leader/ Principal Certification (New York), and Secondary English Teaching Credential (Pennsylvania). Her educational background also includes a degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
