Karl L. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in security policy and anti-illicit trade. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst at FOI since October 2022 and a Senior Fellow at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime since 2014, Karl also works as a Columnist for Tidningen Näringslivet. Previously, Karl held various significant roles, including Deputy Chairman on the board of Folk och Försvar and Director of Security Policy at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. Karl's contributions to international organizations are highlighted by participation as a member of the OECD Task Force on Countering Illicit Trade and co-founding Black Market Watch. Educational credentials include a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's degree from Stockholm University, alongside studies at other prestigious institutions.
