Maria Guerra-Arias is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data management, monitoring, and evaluation within the global health sector. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Data, Evidence, and Impact at Planned Parenthood Global since July 2016, Maria oversees global data collection systems and coordinates the transition to the DHIS2 software platform. Previous roles include Global Program Associate at Global Health Corps and Research Associate at ICS Integrare, where responsibilities encompassed qualitative and quantitative research in maternal and newborn health, funding proposal preparation, and project management. Maria also completed an internship at the United Nations Population Fund, contributing to advocacy efforts for the State of the World’s Midwifery Report 2014. Educational qualifications include an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Durham University, along with a Data Science Bootcamp certification from AllWomen.
