Leah Shaffner currently serves as the Manager of Inclusive Health at Special Olympics, following their role as the Athlete Leadership and Advocacy Manager at Special Olympics Washington. In these positions, Leah has developed impactful programs aimed at promoting the inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities, facilitated initiatives for athlete leadership, and contributed to efforts in diversity, equity, and access through the IDEA Council. With a strong background in community engagement and advocacy, Leah's prior experience includes leadership roles in various organizations focused on disability support and outdoor activities, alongside their academic achievements with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Whitman College and ongoing education in American Sign Language.
