Joseph Ochterski is an experienced curriculum developer and educator with a strong background in both teaching and software development. Currently serving as a Curriculum Developer for Girls Who Code since January 2023, Joseph previously held various roles at the same organization, including Summer Immersion Program Instructional Manager and Site Lead. From August 2007 to December 2022, Joseph taught Chemistry and Computer Science at Easthampton Public Schools, where achievements included leading professional development initiatives, facilitating student clubs, and earning exemplary teacher ratings. In addition, Joseph has extensive experience in technology, having worked as a Python Developer at Rockfall Technologies and as a Senior Customer Service Scientist/Consultant at Gaussian, Inc., where contributions to educational methodologies in computational chemistry were notable. Joseph holds a PhD in Chemistry from Wesleyan University and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester.
