Alexander Klishko

Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Institute of Technology

Alexander Klishko is a Senior Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in neuromechanical modeling of mammalian locomotion. Klishko previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution, focusing on similar research from 2006 to 2015. Earlier experience includes roles as a Clinical Research Associate and Junior Research Associate at the Institute of Mathematical Problems of Biology, Russian Academy of Sciences, where Klishko analyzed mechanical characteristics of soft biological tissues and modeled acoustic perturbations. Initial career work at the same institute involved investigating surface shear waves in soft tissue models. Klishko holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics/Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Biophysics.
