Sy Teisan has extensive experience in fermentation process development and engineering, currently serving as Senior Engineer of Instrumentation at Genomatica since October 2007. Responsibilities include managing and optimizing a fermentation facility, designing custom hardware, developing automation strategies, and executing global technology transfer and support. Previous roles at Genomatica include Engineer II and Engineer - Fermentation, focusing on experimental design and technology transfer. Prior experience includes research at Nereus Pharmaceuticals, where fermentation techniques were developed for marine microbes, and a position at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Sy Teisan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University.
