Kia D. Floyd is currently the Vice President of State & Local Public Policy at General Motors, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Kia served as Director of State & Local Policy at Meta from August 2021 to March 2023, and as Head of State & Local Policy at Facebook from November 2017 to August 2021. Kia's experience also includes serving as Director of Public Policy at RELX from July 2012 to November 2017, focusing on government affairs in scientific publishing and cybersecurity. Earlier in the career, Kia worked as Associate Counsel at CBIA from 2006 to 2012, providing legal counsel on labor, employment, and business law for Connecticut's largest business trade association. Kia D. Floyd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Virginia and a Doctor of Law from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
