Waseem Sheriff currently serves as the Lead Data Science Instructor at General Assembly since November 2023. Prior to this role, Waseem worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Pluang from May 2022 to October 2023 and at ComfortDelGro from March 2021 to May 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a Data Scientist at SensorFlow and a Thesis Researcher at Peltarion, where a Master Thesis focused on improving text quality in summarization using Generative Adversarial Networks was conducted. Waseem's career began with an internship in Pricing Analytics at Zalando SE, followed by being a Private Tennis Coach and holding various analyst positions at BHP Billiton. Another internship in Aircraft Maintenance Analytics at SIA Engineering Company and a Manufacturing Engineering internship at The Coca-Cola Company are also part of Waseem's diverse background. Waseem holds dual Master's degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Technische Universität Berlin, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business from the National University of Singapore.
