Mark Disco is an experienced urban planner and owner of SOMD - Erfgoed & Stedenbouw since June 2023. Currently serving as a Stedenbouwkundig Adviseur at gemeente Achtkarspelen since July 2019, Mark has previously held the position of Assistent stedenbouwkundig ontwerper at Gemeente Amsterdam from September 2017 to June 2019, contributing to significant projects such as the postzegelpark Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal Zuid. Mark’s professional journey includes roles in various organizations, including being a bestuurslid at the Polis platform of Urbanism TU Delft and internships at Roordink Architecten and BAM Utiliteitsbouw. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences from Delft University of Technology and a Postgraduate Degree in Erfgoed en ruimte from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
