Abbas Kazmi is a highly experienced Research and Development professional, currently serving as the Research and Development Manager at GCP Applied Technologies since May 2017, overseeing global R&D, quality control, and quality assurance functions. Prior to this role, Abbas held the position of Senior Research Chemist at Stirling Lloyd from July 2012 to May 2017, where significant achievements included the invention of a new polymer that reduced product costs and increased production capacity while improving environmental aspects. Abbas's earlier experience includes leadership in process and materials research at Interface and management of renewable materials projects at the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, University of York. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Green Coatings from the University of Manchester and degrees in Analytical Chemistry and Chemistry from the University of Huddersfield and University of Leeds, respectively.
