Itay Zusmanovitch

Itay Zusmanovitch has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Itay started their career at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2016, where they worked as a Laboratory Assistant in the field of Targeted Drug Delivery and Personalized Medicine Technologies. Itay then joined Dor Group as a Project Assistant in 2017 before transitioning to Tower Semiconductor in 2018 as a Process Engineer, where they were responsible for monitoring and fixing diffusion processes on silicon wafers.

In 2019, Itay returned to Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and took on multiple roles. Firstly, they worked as an Academic Coordinator for the chemical and biochemical engineering faculty, where they were responsible for academic regulations and providing support to students. Itay also served as the Chairman of the students' committee of the chemical engineering faculty, overseeing lifestyle, study environment, and activities for the students. Additionally, they took on the role of a Graduate Students' Academic Coordinator at Technion Student Association - Aguda Hastudentim Batechnion.

Itay's research experience includes working as a Researcher at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Itay'sresearch focused on developing and optimizing hybrid bioactive scaffold for vascular bone regeneration. Itay also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, assisting in courses related to polymers, rheology, thermodynamics, and polymer processing.

Itay is currently working at Gauzy, starting in 2021, where they initially joined as an R&D Engineer focusing on developing and characterizing SPD for smart glass applications. Later, they transitioned to the role of R&D Process Engineer, with a focus on integration with the scale-up and process department, as well as testing with laboratory equipment.

Throughout their career, Itay has gained expertise in areas such as polymer engineering, materials science, process engineering, and research and development.

Itay Zusmanovitch completed a Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between the years 2015 and 2019. Following this, they pursued a M.Sc in Chemical Engineering at the same institution from 2019 to 2022. During their M.Sc, Itay focused on processing composite polymers for biomedical purposes.
