James Adair is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in prosecution and legal counsel. Currently serving as Special Counsel at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, A PLC since November 2019, James previously held the position of Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the District Attorney for the 22nd Judicial District in Louisiana, where responsibilities included the prosecution of violent crimes and advocating for child survivors of abuse from November 2009 to August 2019. Prior experience as an Assistant District Attorney at the 24th Judicial District Court in Jefferson Parish involved the prosecution of complex violent crimes, including homicides. James began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Guy Holdridge in 2000, assisting with research on complex civil and criminal issues. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from LSU Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from the University of Richmond.
