Veneta Karoleva currently serves as Compliance Manager at ActivTrades Plc, a position held since March 2012, where responsibilities include internal audit, internal controls, and AML compliance. In addition, Veneta Karoleva has been a member of IIA Bulgaria since 2011 and has completed part one of the CIA certification. Previously, Veneta Karoleva worked as an Internal Auditor for the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund from May 2004 to January 2012, served as a member of a group for USAID open government from January 2004 to January 2007, and held the role of Senior Auditor at the Bulgarian National Audit Office from September 2002 to May 2004. Initial experience includes serving as a Manager Back Office at Status Invest AD from September 1998 to September 2002. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of National and World Economy, a Certificate in Internal Auditing in the public sector from the Ministry of Finance in 2011, and relevant training from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 2004.
