Dave Whaley possesses extensive experience in space operations and military leadership across various organizations. Currently serving as SSC LNO to SWAC at Galapagos Federal Systems since October 2022, Dave previously held roles including Space Portfolio Manager at Red Canyon Technologies and key leadership positions at USSPACECOM, where responsibilities encompassed policy development, strategic planning, and operational integration within the space domain. Notable prior positions include Division Chief at the National Space Defense Center, where management of strategic national security missions was a focus, and Director of the Army Space Situational Awareness Company, overseeing comprehensive training and operational readiness. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Space Operations from American Military University and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, along with several professional certifications in space and operational arts.
