Pandi Selvam, PhD is currently employed at GAIT as the Blue Carbon Head, focusing on sustainability initiatives and harnessing carbon credits through blue carbon conservation in the Asia-Pacific Ocean Islands. Prior to this role, Pandi held positions as a Project Scientist at the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management, working on projects related to mangrove zonation atlas and spectral library development for mangroves and seagrasses in India. With a PhD in Spatial Ecology specializing in Mangroves Remote Sensing & GIS, Pandi has a strong educational background in environmental science and remote sensing technologies.
