Raul Lorenzo Villagrasa is a data scientist with a diverse background in data-driven projects and software engineering. Currently, at Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu, Raul is working on the PHEMS project, focusing on designing algorithms to predict early sepsis in pediatric patients using deep learning techniques. Previous experience includes a data scientist role at IBM, where Raul conducted machine learning research and developed recommender systems for e-learning platforms, and an internship at Acuity Trading, utilizing NLP for stock market analysis. Raul's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Innovation and Research in Data Science from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, alongside additional studies in Motorsport Engineering and Computational and Mathematical Engineering.
