Lauren Iskander is currently a Research Intern at Fulbright Canada, where involvement in Dr. Marco Bonizzato's lab focuses on Deep Brain Stimulation and medical device development for spinal cord rehabilitation. As a Research Scholar at Villanova University, participation in the Villanova Match Research Program and the Villanova Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program encompasses research on exercise and neurogenesis in serotonin-deficient mice. Upcoming work as a Chemical Engineering Research and Development Intern at Merck is anticipated in June 2024. Previous research experience includes an internship at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, investigating crude oil remediation, with findings published in the STEM Fellowship Journal. Lauren Iskander is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Villanova University, expected to graduate in 2025.
