Ben Wichser has a diverse work experience. Ben started working at Reed College in 1992 as an Administrative Computing Services Worker and held this position until 1995. Afterwards, they joined the Beaverton School District in 1997 as a Math Teacher at Beaverton High School. Ben worked there for over 20 years, contributing to curriculum development, department leadership, event organization, and fostering achievement for all students. In 2019, they joined Oregon State University as a Teaching Assistant and also worked as a Student.

Ben Wichser attended Reed College from 1992 to 1996 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics. In 1996, they furthered their education at Lewis & Clark College and completed a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a focus on Secondary Mathematics in 1997. Additionally, in December 2019, Ben obtained a certification in Data Science: R Basics from HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX.
