President of the Mediterranean League since 2016 after having been at the head of the District of the Côte d'Azur for 10 years, Éric Borghini, born July 12, 1961, joined the Executive Committee in 2011. Within it, this former referee at the amateur level was responsible for reviving French arbitration. A lawyer by profession, he chairs the Federal Arbitrators Commission and counts among his successes: the reform of French arbitration, once again recognized on the international scene. Éric Borghini set up the professionalization of referees, accompanied the introduction of the VAR and the development of women's refereeing.
