Allison Zimmermann has held a variety of roles in their career. Allison began in 2008 as a Field Organizer for the Campaign for Change, followed by a volunteer position as a Transportation Coordinator for the Presidential Inaugural Committee 2009. In 2009, they began working for Harlem Village Academies as a HR and Special Projects Manager, then as a Business Management Director, and finally as a Director of Special Projects. In 2012, they moved to 4th Sector Solutions, first as a Director of Operations, then as VP of Operations and Human Resources. From 2016 to 2017, they held a Policy Fellow position with the City of Detroit Mayor's Office, a Graduate Student Instructor position with the University of Michigan, and an MBA Student Consultant position with Related Companies. In 2017, they became a Regional Lead for winwin.care and in 2020, they Co-founded NewView. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Foundations in Learning, developer of WordFlight.
Allison Zimmermann attended Boston University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science. Allison then attended Bank Street College of Education from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Master of Science in General and Special Education. From 2015 to 2018, they attended the University of Michigan, where they earned a Master of Business Administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
