Colletta M. Daniels

Educational Advocate at Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition

Colletta M. Daniels is an experienced educational advocate currently serving at the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition since October 2021, where support is provided to foster, kinship, guardianship, and adoptive families. Prior to this role, Colletta facilitated a Masters-level Certification course in Special Education at Trevecca Nazarene University from November 2021 to May 2023. Colletta's extensive background in special education includes serving as Lead Elementary Special Education Teacher at Memphis-Shelby County Schools from August 2010 to October 2021, where responsibilities encompassed teaching adaptive functional skills and leading the Division of Exceptional Children Advisory Committee. Additionally, Colletta participated as a Tennessee Educator Fellow with Tennessee SCORE from May 2017 to May 2018, advocating for educational policies, and served as a Teacher Mentor at Grand Canyon University.
