Another grant awarded by the state is given to a certainnumber of Tennessee residents.Academic scholarships are also awarded to cover partial tuition costs.The minimum grade point average needed to get a scholarship is between3.0 and 3.7, depending on the award. Many students use a combination ofthese awards to cover the portion of tuition they cannot afford.
