Gregory Greene, PhD, is a Wildfire Risk Management Specialist at Forsite Consultants, where responsibilities include creating bespoke software and modeling forest fuels and fire behavior to assess wildfire risks to forests, communities, and utilities. With experience as a Fire Ecologist and GIS Developer at Greene Forest Consulting Ltd., Gregory has developed expertise in Python programming, GIS application development, and fire behavior modeling. Previous roles include serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, focusing on fuel treatment efficacy projects, and conducting extensive research as a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia, where work involved reconstructing fire history and assessing vegetation dynamics.
