Michael Matheny has extensive work experience in the creative and advertising industry. Michael currently serves as the CEO of Folklore Digital since 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Creative Director for Mirum Agency from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they led a team of UX/UI Designers, Visual Designers, and Writers in Minneapolis. Before joining Mirum Agency, Michael was the Executive Creative Director at Digitaria, a JWT Company, from 2012 to 2015. Michael also worked as a Creative Director at JWT from 2011 to 2012, where they were responsible for aligning the creative initiative with the company's goals and overseeing clients such as United Health Group and Optum Health. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as the Associate Creative Director at Hot Dish Advertising from 2005 to 2011, where they managed multiple creative teams and handled advertising and branding projects for consumer and franchise sales.
Michael Matheny attended Iowa State University from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design.
