Ingrid Hoogendoorn has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ingrid has worked for FM Global since 2020 as the Inclusion Lead, Culture and Employee Experience, where they have led advanced diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. In this role, they provided strategic support to global employee business resource groups, managed virtual and hybrid programs on various DEI topics, and collaborated with executives and key stakeholders on DEI and recruitment initiatives.
Prior to their current role, Ingrid worked as a Communications Specialist for FM Global, where they developed and implemented internal and external DEI communications to support the company's culture of inclusion.
Before joining FM Global, Ingrid served as the Director of Communications for the New England College of Optometry, where they led all internal and external communications and marketing efforts.
At Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Ingrid held multiple roles, including Senior Learning Architect, Learning Architect, and Senior Editor. In these positions, they oversaw content development for educational materials, managed projects and teams, and proposed process improvements to mitigate production costs.
Ingrid's early career experience includes working as a Site Director for Peace First (formerly Peace Games) and as an Editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where they worked on social studies and reading programs, revised manuscripts, and ensured state standards were met.
Throughout their career, Ingrid has demonstrated expertise in strategic communications, diversity and inclusion, marketing, content development, and project management.
Ingrid Hoogendoorn holds a Master of Arts in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University. Ingrid also has a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Child Study from Tufts University. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained various certifications related to change management, confronting bias, inclusion, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, LGBT issues in the workplace, content marketing, social media marketing, business storytelling, online marketing, networking, Google Analytics, SEO, and K-3 teaching.
