John Roe is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the restaurant and tax service industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology for Flynn Restaurant Group since September 2021, John oversees technology for 2,400 restaurants generating over $3.6 billion in revenue. Prior to this role, John held various IT leadership positions at H&R Block from April 2005 to July 2021, including Vice President of Information Technology, where John was instrumental in transforming legacy systems to a cloud-native, omni-channel tax suite serving over 20 million clients. Other noteworthy roles at H&R Block included Director of Information Technology Strategy and Director of Information Technology, focusing on process re-engineering and operational transformation. John's career also includes managerial roles at Birch Telecom, RiverPoint, Sprint, and George Butler Associates. John earned an MBA in Strategic Planning from the University of Kansas and a BS in Geography from Northwest Missouri State University.
