Sonya A. Miller serves as the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Vice President of Legal Affairs at Chicago State University since July 2024, and as General Counsel at Florida Memorial University since March 2020. Previously, Sonya A. Miller worked at Broward College from September 2011 to March 2020 as Deputy General Counsel, providing comprehensive legal services in education law, labor and employment law, compliance, and more, while drafting and recommending policy language. Sonya A. Miller holds a law degree from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law, obtained between 1994 and 1997, and a bachelor's degree from Emory University, earned from 1990 to 1994.
