Vaughn Hartung has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Vaughn began their career as a Research Technologist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and also served as Chair of the Student's Association. In 2014, they moved to Nevada Nanotech Systems Inc. as a Senior Engineer. In 2017, they became the Director of Laboratory Operations at SRENE Corporation and then moved to C21 Investments Inc. in 2018 as the Director of Science and Technology. Most recently, they have been the Founder & Vice President of Science and Technology at FloraWorks since 2019.

Vaughn Hartung obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011. Vaughn then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Polymers and Coatings Chemistry at the University of Oregon, which they are currently still completing.
