Mandira Marambe has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to 2021. In 2016, they were a University Innovation Fellow at University Innovation Fellows and an Automation Research & Innovation Intern at MAS Holdings. In 2017, they were an Engineering Tutor at Smith College and a Research Intern- Mechatronics and Robotics Research Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2018, they were a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Purdue University and a Capstone Design Team Member at Sanderson MacLeod. In 2020, they were a Team Member at CoVent-19 Challenge and in 2021, they are a Mechatronics Engineer- Sensors at Flexiv Ltd. Additionally, from 2019-2021, Marambe was a Graduate Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Purdue University.

Mandira Marambe attended Bishop's College, Colombo from 2001 to 2015. Mandira then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Engineering at Smith College from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Engineering (Thesis) at Purdue University from 2019 to 2021.
