Luana Becker Peres has been working in the field of data science and analysis since 2019, when they began their role as a Data Scientist and Data Analyst at Fit Analytics. Prior to this, they were a Researcher Associate at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2016. From 2012 to 2016, they were a PhD student at the same university, where they worked on the development of new biopolymers and nanoparticles for application in drug delivery devices. In 2014, they were a Visiting PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. Luana also had an Intern role at BRF in 2009.

Luana Becker Peres obtained a Bacharel em Engenharia in Engenharia Química from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2005 to 2009. Luana then pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2016.
