Jean-Baptiste Gay has a diverse work experience that spans industries such as technology, engineering, and production. Jean-Baptiste began their career at EPFL in 2009 as a Call Center and Helpdesk Agent in the IT department. From 2011 to 2012, they worked at Patek Philippe, where they analyzed and optimized a production line. At EPFL, they served as an Assistant Scientist in the supervision of semester and diploma projects, supporting students in their projects for various watchmaking companies. Jean-Baptiste also worked as a Scientific Collaborator at the Laboratory of Microtechnic Production during this time.

In 2014, Gay joined Fischer Connectors, where they have held multiple roles. As a Project Manager, they successfully managed projects from September 2014 to March 2018. Jean-Baptiste then transitioned to the role of New Product Development Manager from March 2018 to December 2019, overseeing the development of new products.
