Mark Himelfarb is the CTO at First Orion. Mark has been in this role for 11 years. Prior to that, they were a software engineer at DataPath Inc. for 7 years and 9 months. Mark also spent 9 months as a programmer at Summit Software, where they were responsible for designing and developing a prototype meta-parser for a TAS 4GL language to C#, as well as implementing a foundation for converting the codebase of the company's main software package from TAS/DOS to C#/Windows and PervasiveSQL to mySQL. Mark also designed and implemented a CRM system for internal and later external use. Before that, they were a database administrator and developer at InteliStaf Healthcare for 1 year and 7 months, where they implemented MS SQL server interface to Lotus Domino based nation-wide staffing management package (large scale--2000+ users). Mark also implemented backends for AR AP, GL packages (Epicore/MS SQL server platform), became a certified Lotus Domino developer, received certification in MS Project, Rational Software (RUP process), and helped implement the entire range of Rational tools through the enterprise. Prior to that, they were a lab supervisor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for 2 years.
Mark Himelfarb attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 1997 to 2001, where they studied computer science as part of the Donaghey Scholars Program. Mark also studied telematics at Technische Universität Graz in 1999-2000, and management information systems at International Christian University-Kyiv from 1995 to 1997. Before that, they attended Cherkassy, FiMLi high school from 1990 to 1994.
