Christiane Hoppe-Oehl is a seasoned professional in the financial industry with extensive experience in risk management and artificial intelligence applications within financial markets. Currently serving at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA since June 2022, Christiane focuses on AI in financial markets. Previously, as Co-Founder of Art Recognition AG from September 2018 to June 2022, Christiane contributed to the development of an AI startup. Christiane held various roles at UBS from December 2006 to August 2018, including Head of Risk Appetite and Reverse Stress, where responsibilities encompassed leading risk assessments and collaborating with senior management on tail risks. Early career experience includes positions at Bayerische Landesbank from February 1997 to November 2006, progressing from Financial Engineer to Head of Market Risk Control, overseeing market risk calculations and methodology development. Christiane holds a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Universität Trier and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, and Information Technology from The Philipp University of Marburg.
