Derek Deckard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Derek began their career as an Affiliate Engineer - Network Eng & Planning at Butler Telecom in November 2005, where they worked until November 2007. After that, they worked at Telamon as an Outside Plant Engineer from November 2007 to September 2008. Following this, they joined Kenton Group as an Outside Plant Engineer in June 2008 and stayed until September 2009.
Deckard then transitioned to the field of information technology and worked at the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. Here, they started as an Information Technology Specialist in September 2009 and later became a Senior Information Technology Specialist in August 2010, holding this position until January 2014.
In 2014, Deckard joined FileWave, where they have held several roles over the years. Derek started as a Support Engineer at FileWave in January 2014 and transitioned to a Lead Support Engineer in May 2015. Derek then became a Support Engineer Supervisor in January 2016 before being promoted to Engineering Manager in October 2017. Currently, Deckard serves as the Global Head of Support at FileWave, a position they have held since April 2021.
Derek Deckard pursued their education starting from 1999 to 2001 when they attended ITT Technical Institute. During this time, they studied architectural engineering and received an Associate of Applied Science degree. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Their field of study for their bachelor's degree was focused on Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.
