Joseph Jones has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Joseph is currently the Director of Policy Advocacy and Research at FPWA, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the NYC Department of Social Services as the Director of Strategic Planning Initiatives from January to August 2022.

Joseph also has a significant tenure at the NYC Human Resources Administration, where they held multiple roles. From August 2020 to April 2022, they served as the Director of Special Projects/Program Planning and Development. Joseph was a Special Projects Advisor for the Chief of Staff from December 2019 to September 2020, and prior to that, they worked as the Deputy Coordinator of the Office of Civil Justice from March to December 2019. Following this, they enrolled at Binghamton University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English. Continuing their studies, they attended the University of Michigan Law School from 2007 to 2010 and obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Finally, Joseph completed a Master's of Urban Planning program at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2012, specializing in Housing, Economic, and International Development.
