Erik Akert, CFA, serves as the Director of Data Science & Machine Learning at Facet since September 2022, where responsibilities include founding the Data Science function within the Growth & CX departments and establishing machine learning initiatives. Erik also founded Akert Consulting in November 2017, offering automation and scripting services for businesses and households. Prior roles include Senior Data Scientist at Vacasa, focusing on marketing and pricing analytics, and Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Kount, where Erik utilized various programming languages and tools to improve decision-making through data analysis. Earlier experience includes a Lead Derivatives Analyst position at Clearwater Analytics, managing complex financial data reporting, and team leadership in corporate treasury functions. Erik holds a degree in Business with a focus on Marketing and Finance from the University of Idaho, obtained in 2012.
