Horia Mania's work experience started in 2019 as a Teaching Instructor for Learn2Launch at the University of California, Berkeley. In the same year, they also worked as an Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon. From 2014 to 2020, Horia served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2020, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, Horia is working as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities starting from 2023.

Horia Mania obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Princeton University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Following this, Horia pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2014 to 2020.
