Omotunde Okubanjo has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on formulation science. Beginning in 2001, they worked as a Registered Pharmacist at University College Hospital Ibadan, Nigeria, where they prepared compound pharmaceuticals and conducted research on drug interactions. In 2005, they joined the University of Lagos as a Formulation Scientist, where they applied formulation techniques and performed laboratory tests to evaluate the efficacy of raw materials and finished formulas. During this time, they also interpreted experimental results and contributed to the design of optimal conditions for increased skin permeation. In 2006, Omotunde worked as a Visiting Postgraduate Research Scientist at University College London, School of Pharmacy, providing technical support for nanomedicine formulation projects and conducting in vitro and in vivo analyses of anticancer formulations. Omotunde then joined The PharmaCompoundia in 2018 as a Research and Development Scientist, where they resolved cream formulation issues, implemented standard operating procedures, and trained pharmaceutical technicians in Good Clinical Practice and International Conference of Harmonization guidelines. Currently, Omotunde is employed as a Formulation Scientist at Exela Pharma Sciences LLC, starting in 2022.
Omotunde Okubanjo has a diverse education history. In 1992, they enrolled at the University of Ibadan and completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree in 1998. During this time, they focused on the field of study related to pharmaceutics and industrial pharmacy.
