Andrew MacFarlane has a diverse range of work experience. Andrew began their career as a Program Coordinator at the City of Ottawa, overseeing summer camp and after-school programs. Andrew then transitioned to acting, working as a professional actor in US and Canadian film and TV productions for over five years. Andrew later joined Sobie Systems Inc., a tech startup, as the Lead Marketing Strategist, where they developed marketing strategies, branding, and created promotional materials. Andrew also worked at EF Education First as a Marketing Coordinator and Content Manager, where they managed websites, led campaigns, and executed retention strategies. Andrew co-founded NomosPay, a crypto payment processor, serving as the CMO and focused on business development and marketing. As an Independent Consultant, they worked as a Marketing Consultant, providing marketing solutions to small businesses. Andrew also worked as an M&A Consultant, conducting industry analyses and evaluating companies for strategic initiatives. Currently, Andrew is the Marketing Lead at Exalens, a tech startup that offers a Cyber-Physical Detection and Response AI platform.
Andrew MacFarlane's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Carleton University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Film. Andrew completed their studies in 2008. In 2009, Andrew enrolled in the Vancouver Acting School, focusing on Visual and Performing Arts. Andrew concluded their time there in 2010. Moving forward to 2016, Andrew briefly studied Project Management at the University of Toronto. Andrew then proceeded to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Hult International Business School from 2017 to 2018, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. Aside from their formal education, Andrew also obtained a certification in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage in May 2022.
