Howard Egana Marrero has worked in the software engineering field since 2007. In 2011, they began freelancing as an architect/software engineer for Pirineus Intelligent Solution Builder. In this role, they led a small group of Cuban developers in the development of a Machine-to-Machine system. From 2015 to present, they have been employed as a software engineer at EveryMundo. Prior to this, they were a software engineer and assistant professor at Havana University of Technologies Jose Antonio Echeverria, where they developed the College Management System (SIGENU).

Howard Egana Marrero obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Software Engineering from Havana University of Technologies Jos\u00e9 Antonio Echeverr\u00eda between 2002 and 2007. Howard then went on to pursue a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in Computer Software Engineering from the same university from 2008 to 2012.
