Leonidas A. is a dedicated medical professional with extensive experience in epidemic intelligence and public health. Currently serving as a Scientific Officer at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since July 2021, Leonidas previously held the roles of Junior Scientific Expert and Trainee at ECDC from September 2019 to May 2021. Prior medical experience includes work with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a Medical Doctor providing primary health care and rehabilitation for refugees and migrants from June 2017 to August 2019, as well as military service with the Hellenic Army. Additional roles include providing primary health care at PRAKSIS and a medical internship at Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc. Leonidas holds a Master of Science in International Medicine and Health-Crisis & Disaster Management and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine.
