Priyanka Nannapaneni is a Scientific Officer in Bioinformatics at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since October 2021 and has served as a Bioinformatician at Karolinska Institutet since May 2013. The current research focus involves understanding the epidemiology and genetic differences contributing to pneumococcal diseases, which pose significant global health challenges. Priyanka Nannapaneni's work encompasses a variety of next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets, including whole genome sequences, RNA sequencing, and metagenomics. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics from Universität Greifswald, a Master of Technology in Bioinformatics from the University of Hyderabad, and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology.
