Mulugeta Birku is an experienced humanitarian professional currently serving as a Child Protection Officer at IHS Innovative Humanitarian Solutions since June 2023 and as an Emergency Coordinator with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society since July 2022. Previously, Mulugeta held the position of Shelter & WaSH Project Coordinator at the Ethiopian Red Cross Society from October 2020 to December 2021 and served as Health and Referral Coordinator at ANPPCAN Regional from November 2017 to September 2020. Mulugeta's career began as a Project Officer at ANPPCAN Regional from December 2011 to August 2017. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Human Nutrition from the University of Gondar and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the same institution, as well as a Diploma in Pharmacy Technician/Assistant from Bahir Dar Medical College.
