Kate Bowditch is an experienced environmental leader currently serving as the President of Essex County Greenbelt Association since June 2018, focusing on connecting land, water, and people. Previously, Kate held several roles at Charles River Watershed Association, including Director of Stewardship, Director of Philanthropy, and Interim Director of Projects, where responsibilities encompassed directing science and research programs, engaging with partners, and managing fundraising efforts. Additionally, Kate contributed as a Policy Fellow at the Scholars Strategy Network, fostering connections between scientific research and environmental policy. Earlier career experience includes independent consulting on water resources in Europe and extensive involvement with environmental advocacy and scientific research at Charles River Watershed Association. Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Geography from Boston University, specializing in Hydrology and Water Resources Management.
