Christopher Sweeney began their career as a Design-Build Engineer at Structural and Soil Systems, Inc. in 2006, contributing to significant construction projects. Christopher then transitioned into legal roles, culminating in their current position as Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Enviva, where they oversee legal matters. Throughout their career, they have specialized in construction law, representing clients in a variety of complex civil litigation matters.

Christopher Sweeney attended Sidwell Friends School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction Project Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2006. Christopher then went on to obtain their J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2010.
