Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in electronics and firmware development. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is involved in the development of hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris served as a firmware engineer at the same company, focusing on firmware and diagnostic tools for educational technologies. Experience also includes work as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris's earlier career included a position as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
