Laxmi B. has a diverse work experience in the field of firmware engineering. They started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2001, where they taught students digital logic design and assisted them in completing their projects. They also introduced students to PIC and VHDL programming. In 2003, they worked as a Research Assistant at New Mexico State University before joining Stolar Research Corporation as an Electrical/Firmware Engineer. At Stolar Research Corporation, they worked for over 10 years. In 2014, they joined Synaptics as a Senior Firmware Engineer, where they worked until January 2020. After that, they worked at Bose Corporation as a Senior Firmware Engineer for a couple of months before joining Energous Corporation as a Staff Firmware Engineer in June 2020.

Laxmi B. has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Pondicherry University. Laxmi also holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Signal Processing and Communications, from New Mexico State University.
